Jeremy E. Karpel is an attorney practicing exclusively criminal defense. He is licensed to practice in all California State courts, in the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California, and in the California Supreme Court.

He has experience handling State and federal cases throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern, and Monterey Counties. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society (Criminal Justice) from University of California, Santa Barbara. He has a Juris Doctorate from Glendale College of Law where he was on Law Review and was Student Body President. Mr. Karpel has been an adjunct instructor in the Criminal Justice Department for the Westwood Colleges teaching courses in Criminology, Criminal Procedure, Criminal Investigations, and Criminal Law.

Mr. Karpel is also a licensed Private Investigator and has managed and directed complex trial matters with experts and investigators for over a decade. He has further extensive experience with high profile and complex investigations and has acquired training in interview techniques and police procedures.

His vast experience with investigations and his regular, proactive use of investigators has played a huge role in the tremendous results he has acquired. He has experience working for the United States Attorneys Office—Department of Justice in Washington D.C., the Santa Barbara District Attorneys Office, and the County Jail in the Own Recognizance Unit. Mr. Karpel is a member of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, Criminal Law Section and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Criminal Law Section.
